Concord began over 30 years ago as a school dedicated to the sanctity of the educational process. We have never succumbed, nor will we ever succumb, to trendy, fleeting, or feel-good techniques that do not educate and that do not reward true work and true achievement.
We use classical methods of instruction -- they work. And Concord has remained, and will remain, small by design so that our effect on each student is great.
Concord is truly unique among private schools. There is no bureaucracy. There is no fund-raising. There is no social climbing. There are no cliques.
Over 25% of the student body is on some form of Concord-funded scholarship, given always for both merit and need, but the scholarships are confidential so there are no second-class citizens.
The school is actually a school. There is continuity, because one family, and now one person, guides the school, year after year. There are no hired-gun administrators who come and go with an ever-changing board, wreaking havoc. There are superb, committed, experienced instructors who return, year after year. There is total commitment to the philosophy of the school -- merit and excellence.
We do not dumb-down our curriculum ever. We reward the best students for their work and achievement with the best grades because they earn them. Our process, our grades, the school, are honest. I would not have it any other way.
I urge you to take some time and read carefully through the pages we have sent you describing the extraordinary accomplishments of this year’s graduating class and the classes that preceded it. Therein lies the essence of Concord High School. These pages describe what we do -- Concord and its students -- and how we are recognized and prized by the finest colleges and universities in the nation.
